Updates To The Furlough Scheme

The Coronavirus Jobs Retention Scheme was extended until 31st March 2021 after the end of October saw the country go into a national lockdown instead of opening up more as we thought it would earlier in the year. Now with London going into Tier 3, the BBC  believes the amount of furloughed workers will go up so here is a quick reminder of what the furlough scheme means for employers.

An additional note to make is that the government will review the scheme in January 2021 and claims for furlough days in November 2020 must have been submitted by 14 December 2020. This also means claims for claim periods ending on or before 31 October 2020, cannot be submitted any more. For more information and guidance visit the government website.
