One buy-out, one team, one vision
This year has been one to remember for Impact Recruitment Services, largely driven by its change to the sole ownership of existing Director Paul Hooper, and his determination to deliver a new vision for success. Paul said: “After 17 years of trading, this was the right time for me to complete the buy-out and drive Impact forward. We have an amazingly talented team with great experience and knowledge, and I have already made some internal changes, promotions and appointments to create a stronger management team. I’m also very proud to announce my wife Angela has joined as a fellow Director.”
To achieve its growth ambitions Impact is investing heavily in team development which includes a new and improved induction programme, the up-skilling of all Cert-RP qualified staff and comprehensive management training, using Apprenticeship Levy funding. Paul continued: “Building and maintaining a high-performing Impact team is one of my top priorities and people development and recruitment will be a continuous process going forward. It’s no accident that we’ve smashed our temporary and permanent candidate placement levels this year, despite Brexit uncertainty – it’s completely down to the fantastic skill and commitment of our Impact team.”
Following his promotion to Operations Manager, Daniel Sharp is focused on continually improving the client and candidate experience so that in return, he can help Impact achieve its business objectives. He said: “If you cut me in half, I’d probably have Impact running through me, it’s that much a part of me. I feel proud and excited to have been promoted to Operations Manager and am really looking forward to taking a greater part in decision making and setting the future direction. The team at Impact is the strongest it has ever been, and I know that clients and candidates will be delighted they chose us to work in collaboration for all their recruitment needs, especially against the backdrop of Brexit uncertainty and low unemployment.”
Taking over at the helm at the Wellingborough office, Richard Ingman has been appointed as Branch Manager. With a wealth of recruitment and sales experience, Richard promises to bring energy and dynamism to Impact’s service. Richard said: “The Impact team and its reputation for quality was what attracted me to the role and now that I’m here I’m loving the appetite for change and improvement. “My aim is to quickly establish myself as a key part of the team and keep taking the opportunities and challenges to grow Impact.”
Outside of people matters, Impact is also investing in tools and strategies to make the firm easier to do business with, including an interactive company brochure to save paper and the environment, a sales training platform along with dedicated training manager, and a new schools ambassador project, led by Angela, to help students better understand and navigate the world of employment and the opportunities that lie ahead.
