What do you do at Impact?

My official title at Impact Recruitment is a Recruitment Resourcer but I have found myself taking on new responsibilities each week. My main day to day role is to find the perfect candidate for whatever vacancy we have open, whether that be permanent or temporary positions.

What did you do before you came to Impact?

Before I came to Impact I worked as a Groundsman, driving diggers to pay for my 6 month travelling experience, after finishing university studying Sport and Exercise Science.

What do you like most about working at Impact?

The best thing is that I get to work with an incredible team. Which I’m sure everyone else would say as well. Everyone supports each other and is happy to jump in and help wherever and whenever it's needed.

What are the biggest challenges companies in your area are facing now?

The clients and companies I am dealing with are facing the challenge of keeping up with customer demand. Lockdown has seen a huge influx of ecommerce in the past few months and the challenge of keeping up with the delivery of goods is definitely noticeable.

What are the biggest challenge candidates are currently facing?

The biggest challenge I am seeing with candidates is that there is firstly not a lot of jobs available for their industry and when there is, there is great competition for it. So many candidates have shown excellent adaptability

What has been the highlight of your time at Impact so far?

Being able to join a wonderful team who have taught me so many new things and made me believe in myself.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I follow sport very closely, particularly football, rugby and Formula 1. I enjoy going to games or watching them with my mates, always with a beer in hand.

Tea or coffee?

Definitely Tea!
