What do you do at Impact?
I am an industrial recruitment consultant who sources for new businesses across Northamptonshire, supplying temporary and permanent staff.
What did you do before you came to Impact?
I worked as a CNC machine operative for an off-highway driveshaft manufacturer in Wellingborough, where Impact actually placed me as a temporary worker.
What do you like most about working at Impact?
You are given all the tools to be successful and given the right support to get there and stay there. On top of that, I speak on behalf on everyone at Impact when I say the people are the best thing – very much a family business vibe here.
What are the biggest challenges companies in your area are facing at the moment?
Not knowing what the immediate future holds for their business and when they’re going to be at full strength out of this current period.
What are the biggest challenge candidates face at the moment?
There are less opportunities out there for temporary and permanent work currently and I feel for those that are seeking employment during this time. People may have to change tact and try new lines of work to source an income.
What has been the highlight of your time at Impact so far?
Winning the double in our debut season at our local 7 a side football league (undefeated). There is some great talent at Impact and you get to see it when we have our sport socials.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work I love staying active, mainly playing football, golf or going to the gym. There are some decent golfers at Impact who keep me humble.
Tea or coffee?
Always a hot chocolate…
